Salesperson - Aspiring shop manager

As a bicycle salesperson/aspiring shop manager, you will specialise in advising and selling bicycles, bicycle parts, and accessories and act as the right hand of the shop manager. Your role is essential in providing technical knowledge and personal service to ensure each customer finds the best bike and equipment to suit their needs.

Your profile

  • You have around 2 to 4 years' experience as a salesperson/shop manager
  • You have an extensive knowledge of retail and at least affinity/passion for the bicycle sector
  • You are commercially minded and result-oriented with respect for KPIs
  • You are a networker and enjoy dealing with customers with whom you build loyalty
  • You work independently but also know how to manage a team as a manager
  • You are organised with an eye for detail
  • You are fluent in both national languages French/Dutch (both oral and written) and speak English fluently
  • Saturday work is not a problem.

Your tasks

  • You will be in charge of customer service and advice; you will listen to the customer's needs and preferences to provide targeted advice on bikes, bike parts and accessories
  • You actively sell by explaining the features and benefits; you demonstrate operation, incl. adjusting bikes and test rides; close the sale and ensure correct handling of the administration involved in the sale
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of the current product range, technologies, as well as future trends; be able to perform basic maintenance services, ensure overall orderliness
  • Inventory management: tracking inventory, receiving, unpacking and pricing new deliveries; maximising sales by organisation
