Chief technician/salesman

As a bicycle salesperson/head technician, you will specialise in advising and selling bicycles, bicycle parts, and accessories and act as the right hand of the shop manager. Your role is essential in providing technical knowledge and personal service to ensure each customer finds the best bike and equipment to suit their needs.

Your tasks

  • You will be responsible for customer service and advice; listening to customer needs and preferences to provide targeted advice on bikes, bike parts and accessories.
  • You actively sell by explaining the features and benefits; you demonstrate operation, incl. adjusting bikes and test rides; close the sale and ensure correct handling of the administration involved in the sale.
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the current range, technologies, as well as future trends; be able to perform basic maintenance services, ensure overall order.
  • Inventory management: tracking inventory, receiving, unpacking and pricing new deliveries; maximising sales by organisation.
  • You will manage a team of 5 experienced technicians and assist them with advice.
  • Saturday work is not a problem.

Your profile

  • You have about 2 to 4 years of (management) experience as a salesperson/technician (managing a team)
  • You have an extensive knowledge of retail and affinity/passion for the bicycle sector
  • You are commercially minded and result-oriented
  • You work independently but can also work as part of a team
  • You are organised with an eye for detail
  • You have mastered the Dutch perfect (both oral and written) and speaks fluent English or French.
