The newest Raida shop at Fort Jaco in Uccle has been officially opened since 16 November 2022. Mayor Boris Dilliès donated an e-bakfiets to non-profit organisation "Les Cailloux" on this occasion. Director Ms Praet proudly accepted the cargo bike.

Mayor Dilliès: "At the opening of Raida Uccle, they gave me an electric cargo bike to donate to charity. The charity became Les Cailloux, a non-profit organisation that takes care of children placed by juvenile judges." The aim of Les Cailloux is to provide shelter, education, treatment, teaching and school support to placed minors. The association runs a residential centre, a boarding school, which is approved for the reception and treatment of children and adolescents with behavioural disorders who require multidisciplinary care for this purpose.

Mrs Praet: "Once again, I would like to thank the mayor and Raida for this fantastic gift. The electric cargo bike will be able to be used for a lot of things within the operation of Les Cailloux."

Cedric de Kerchove, co-director of Raida: "Along with the opening of each new specialised bike shop, we want Raida to support a good cause. This is because Raida is socially committed in addition to being a national growth company."

The newest Raida shop is located at Fort Jaco, 1298 chaussée de Waterloo in Uccle. The shop has an area of more than 800 m². Shop manager Mathieu Goossens, a former cycling champion who is always in good spirits, looks after all cyclists equally efficiently, whether they are simple amateurs or much more competitive.

In the beautifully renovated shop, you will find a premium sports range, as well as their electric versions, including road bikes, gravel bikes, city bikes and mountain bikes. Some of the top brands: Stromer, Trek, BMC, Kalkhoff, Orbea, Scott, Riese&Müller... You can also find your cycling clothing and accessories, including Wahoo, Pedaled, Fizik and POC.

The three mechanics in the after-sales service are all experts and are ready to repair and maintain the bikes and are available to answer all your questions.

"It should be clear, at Raida, the cyclist is at the centre, more so than the bike. With this, Raida wants to reinvigorate the strong cycling culture in our country and take the personal experience of cycling to the next level. If it is up to Raida, cycling culture will become the culture of the cyclist," says Philippe Van Eekhout, co-director of Raida. "We take the time to scrutinise your needs. Every body is different, every bike should be too. Raida matches the experience of the bike someone is looking for with the increasingly sophisticated offerings from manufacturers. Only when this correspondence exists is it possible to give good advice. We also test everything we offer ourselves. Honest and sincere advice is the basis of the Raida concept."
